So officially the 2014 conferences have started there are still many left. I am going to BloggyCon and Share.Support.Celebrate Conference So far. I am still looking in to a couple more but we shall see how things pan out. While this is going to be so much fun there is so much that has to be done before heading out to conferences. One thing that Last year I put off till the last minute and barely got my business cards ahead of time. Wow it was scary didn’t think they would get here in time But the trusty people over at Vistaprint made sure that I got them in plenty of time be able to pack up and not worry about it.
One thing I have been asked and wondered in the past is do bloggers need business cards? In a word Yes! Why? because going to conferences or any live events you see a ton of people. Everything from brands, other bloggers, media consultants and so much more. During these moments if you aren’t sure you are going to remember them are you sure they will remember you. This is the perfect time to hand them a business card. One thing I did learn is its a good idea to put a current Picture on them. This is a way that they can remember meeting you and may trigger something in them about the conversation you had with them.
Something else its good to have business cards when dealing with local businesses especially if you want to work with them. Perhaps you can help them with their social media or maybe help promote them. Think about it as a blogger you are promoting things all the time you could take it to the next level and start helping local business with their social media things. So have an updated business card will come in handy in situations like this.
